Authentic Italian Pizza
Ask any child what their favorite food is and you are likely to get the answer back of pizza. People of all ages love pizza, making pizza parlors one of the most popular type of restaurants in the world. With all the different variations of pizza available, it is not too surprising that it can easily become overwhelming choosing your favorite type. Yet, if you ask many people what is their favorite type of pizza, they will tell you cheese pizza, hands down!
One of the only problems with pizza is the fact that it can quickly become expensive. Wouldn’t it be easier if you could make a delicious, pizza parlor quality pizza in your own home? Making your own cheese and tomato pizza at home that amazes everyone in your family may be much easier than you think!
Besides the pizza ingredients, you will also need a good quality rolling pin, a pizza stone, a pizza cutter, and a food brush.
; Brush the dough with a bit of oil and apply an ample amount of tomato sauce. When applying the sauce try not to get too close to the edge of the dough. Focus on the middle and do not over sauce. Just enough to coat is fine.

Just stay away from anything that comes in a refrigerated <em>tube</em>. Another option is to actually make your own dough. It’s very simple to make your own, but to keep this recipe as simple as possible, we will use ready-made dough.</li>

- 1 Pizza Dough (refrigerated)
- 1-2 Tbsp Olive Oil (or Canola oil)
- 1 Lb Mozzarella Cheese (block style)
- 1 Cup Homemade Italian Tomato Sauce (ou recipe can be found here
- 1 Handful Spinach (fresh) (optional)
- 2 Tbsp Flour (to keep dough from sticking while stretching)
- Preheat oven to 500 degrees.
- Stretch the pizza dough until it covers the pizza stone. This may take some practice. Remember that we are striving for a great tasting pizza here, the perfect look of the pizza will come with practice. Sprinkle a bit of flour on a clean surface and with your hands and rolling pin, stretch the dough till you are able to cover the stone. Try to manipulate the dough as little as possible, because too much handling can often leave the dough tough.
